We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist to join our team, playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care. As part of our dynamic Cath Lab team, you will be responsible for preparing and operating equipment, closely monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment.
This position requires strong collaboration with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals, as well as supporting the orientation of new staff and radiology students. A focus on continuous improvement and professional development is emphasized, with mandatory certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Salary:
The estimated salary for this position is $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.
Job Description:
As a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing equipment before and during procedures
- Identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
- Maintaining a sterile environment
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training
- Using downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager
- Maintaining strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification
- Previous procedural area experience, preferably in a Cath Lab setting
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification in Cardiovascular (CV), Interventional (CI), or Vascular (VI)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training, with ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment
