Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Schuette Metals. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products by conducting inspections and testing to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily inspections of painted parts using various paint measuring equipment to customer specifications.
- Record daily inspection results on electronic forms, charts, and report results of conforming and non-conforming parts through electronic DMR system.
- Perform assigned routine chemical titration tests on the paint wash system.
- Communicate status of finished product to Manufacturing Engineer and Focus Factory Manager.
- Participate in Root Cause/Corrective Action investigations.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineer, Project Manager, and Focus Factory Manager with disposition of non-conforming product.
- Complete Appearance Approval Reports and Paint Certification forms.
- Perform monitoring/operation of wash system, turning on and off stages as needed.
- Perform cleaning/maintenance of wash system.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with paint inspection preferred.
- Ability to read customer and Company provided blueprints.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals.
- Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
