Overview

The Ecommerce Software Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and design of our online platforms.

The primary objective will be to familiarize oneself with the existing codebase, collect testing data, and address requests from our development team.

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of various technology systems, including (HTML, WOO, WordPress, SEM Rush, PHP/SQL), and demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. A collaborative spirit and a positive attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the IT team in all facets of ecommerce site development and design.
  • Participate in and contribute to team development meetings.
  • Learn the codebase and enhance your programming skills.
  • Write and maintain code, context, and performance metrics.
  • Address minor bugs while ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Monitor the technical performance of internal systems.
  • Respond to inquiries from the development team and internal stakeholders.
  • Test newly developed systems and provide feedback to the IT team.
  • Gather insights from internal stakeholders regarding program functionality.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing and maintaining PHP/SQL based backend systems.
  • Proficient in frontend development languages and frameworks, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Bootstrap.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools and project management to uphold code integrity.
  • Experience with Magento is advantageous.
  • Understanding of security measures and data protection practices.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and technologies.
  • Capacity to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach.
  • Passion for problem-solving and producing well-documented code.
  • Ability to connect code to ecommerce outcomes on a daily basis.
