Role Summary:
As a pivotal member of our team, you will spearhead the business development process, focusing on the initiation, negotiation, and execution of commercial agreements with both emerging and established technology firms, particularly in the realms of payment infrastructure and fintech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire business development cycle, engaging with both local and global technology and fintech ecosystems to identify and pursue partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with Visa's global and regional product leaders to develop and implement customized partnership frameworks.
- Co-create go-to-market strategies that leverage Visa's products and solutions, fostering mutually beneficial outcomes for Visa and its partners.
- Support local teams in negotiating and finalizing agreements with fintech clients.
- Act as the primary liaison between partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Build and maintain relationships within the ecosystem to enhance preference for Visa's offerings, including engaging in thought leadership initiatives.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work, with expectations to be present in the office 2-3 days a week based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- Basic: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8 years with an Advanced Degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
Preferred:
- 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
- Strong interest in the fintech and digital commerce sectors.
- Proven track record in business development, product development, or partnership management.
- Ability to operate swiftly in a dynamic environment and convey that urgency to other teams.
- Resilience and independence in navigating complex organizational structures.
- Deep understanding of fintech business dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
Additional Information:
Work Hours: Flexible based on departmental needs.
Travel Requirements: This role involves travel up to 25% of the time.
