ROLE OVERVIEW
Under the guidance of a dean, the Financial Education Facilitator is responsible for delivering comprehensive educational experiences to a diverse student body, aimed at helping them achieve their academic and vocational goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ventura College, established in 1925, is a pioneer community college in California, currently serving approximately 14,500 students. The campus, set amidst the scenic hills of Ventura, offers a picturesque view of the Channel Islands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Deliver academic instruction through lectures, labs, and performance courses, enhancing students' cognitive abilities and communication skills through engaging assignments and activities.
2. Guide and mentor students on their educational paths, including program selection and effective study techniques.
3. Assess student performance against course objectives and provide timely feedback to support their learning journey.
4. Organize instructional content in alignment with approved course outlines to maximize student engagement and learning outcomes.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and course materials, ensuring compliance with institutional standards.
6. Collaborate with faculty to develop and update curriculum, ensuring relevance to current industry practices.
7. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of academic programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must meet the qualifications as outlined by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors, which include a Master's degree in accountancy or business administration with an accounting focus, or a Bachelor's degree in business with an accounting emphasis, along with a Master's in a related field.
