Senior Tax Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation and a proven track record of preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review foreign, federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including tax-related SEC filings.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of tax accounting and compliance activities.
  • Conduct research and provide supporting documentation for tax positions taken on returns and for proposed transactions.
  • Lead federal and state income tax audits and ensure compliance with SOX 404 procedures.
  • Collaborate with outside firms and internal departments to manage expatriate income tax compliance.
  • Review tax fixed asset system maintenance and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Provide training and mentorship to tax staff and ensure the maintenance of confidential information.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Taxation or a related field preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant tax experience.
  • Experience with tax research services and corporate income tax software preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
