Fifth Third Bank is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Financial Risk Management team. As a Capital Markets Principal, you will be responsible for managing the deal execution process, guiding the internal FRM deal team, and providing support and input in the management of client accounts, prospect conversions, and internal cross-sell opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the drafting of the FRM Opportunity Memo and assist in the development of client and prospect strategy.
  • Lead the oversight, development, and review of pitch materials/decks.
  • Develop good working relationships with peers and seniors in Capital Markets and throughout the organization.
  • Work with Relationship Managers, Investment Bankers, and other Capital Market partners to deliver solutions that generate capital markets revenue.
  • Create, manage, and prioritize a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Help instill the sales discipline and culture of Fifth Third FRM to Analysts and Associates through guidance and leadership in sales-related activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in the management, measurement, and modeling of capital markets transactions as well as financial analysis.
  • Deep understanding and working knowledge of debt underwriting, industry, competitive, and regulatory function/requirements.
  • Proven track record of success in working in a team environment to originate and close complex financial transactions.
  • Expertise in desktop applications (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and trading platforms/systems of records.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong mentoring and leadership skills.
