Weekend Operating Room Registered Nurse Shift Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse Shift Coordinator / Charge Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Mary's Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our OR department.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and/or provide direct patient care, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
- Assist and support staff in responding to and problem-solving situations related to patient/family complaints, physician concerns, risk management, associate safety, and hospital safety.
- Respond to patient emergencies as needed and serve as the charge or lead person for disasters.
- Collaborate with the staffing office and adjust numbers of staff for census changes during the shift.
- Communicate with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, pending admissions and discharges, any problems they need to be aware of, and any patient information that will be helpful in making assignments.
- Support unit management team in managing department productivity/staffing and timekeeping and coordinating unit activities.
- Perform evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Participate in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
- ASN/ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting.
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (with prior approval).
- Minimum of three (3) years of RN nursing experience.
