Weekend Operating Room Registered Nurse Shift Coordinator/Charge Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Weekend Operating Room Registered Nurse Shift Coordinator/Charge Registered Nurse. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and/or provide direct patient care, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our patients.
- Assist and support staff in responding to and problem-solving situations related to patient/family complaints, physician concerns, risk management, associate safety, and hospital safety.
- Respond to patient emergencies as needed and serve as the charge or lead person for disasters.
- Collaborate with the staffing office and adjust numbers of staff for census changes during the shift.
- Communicate with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, pending admissions and discharges, any problems they need to be aware of, and any patient information that will be helpful in making assignments.
- Support unit management team in managing department productivity/staffing and timekeeping and coordinating unit activities.
- Perform evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Participate in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
- ASN/ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required.
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (with prior approval), required (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service).
- Minimum of three (3) years of RN nursing experience, required.
