Job Title: Nutrition Coordinator Assistant

The Station Break Senior Center is seeking a highly motivated and organized Nutrition Coordinator Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our nutrition team, you will be responsible for assisting with daily food preparation, ordering, inventory, and cleanup of food prepared on-site.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with coordinating and preparing daily meals with the Nutrition Site Coordinator.
  • Help with ordering and inventory of food and supplies.
  • Assist with completing required forms for compliance with the Area Agency on Aging, Inc.
  • Participate in Site Council and follow up on complaint issues regarding nutrition.
  • Complete required training as required by the Ohio Department of Aging, the Area Agency on Aging, the Knox County Health Department, Serve Safe Food Program, and The Station Break.
  • Oversee nutrition program in the absence of the Nutrition Site Coordinator.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • In the event of an emergency, you may be required to cover a home delivered meal route.
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must relate to aging population and maintain a professional and flexible demeanor to ensure program mission and objective.
  • Must have 1-2 years' experience with regulatory compliance and public service or equivalent of.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to help coordinate a daily nutrition program.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to assist in the daily kitchen tasks.
  • Must be able to order and prepare food.
  • Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and current automobile insurance, and able to pass a physical, drug, and alcohol test and criminal background check.
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Serv Safe preferred.
