Christus Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team. This role will involve providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
About the Role
This Respiratory Care Specialist position requires minimal supervision from a physician and involves performing patient assessments, developing respiratory care plans, and administering various technical and diagnostic procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized respiratory care plans
- Administer aerosolized medications, ventilator management, and other therapeutic interventions as needed
- Conduct chest film analysis, blood gas collection, and EKG analysis
- Clean and stock equipment and supplies as necessary
- Participate in surveys and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- RRT or RCP License in state of employment required
- BLS certification required
- 1-3 years of experience preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required
Compensation Package
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
