Position Title: Engineering Change Order Coordinator

Classification: Non Exempt

Department: Engineering

Job Grade: C

Reports To: Director of Engineering

Supervises: None

Objective:

This role is pivotal in the management and updating of Engineering documentation within the SAP ERP framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Manage the processing of engineering change orders (ECOs) and new releases in the SAP engineering system, which includes the release of ECO documents, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • · Locate and incorporate product documentation, such as specifications and quotes, for purchased components.
  • · Release production parts with specific requirements and inform relevant departments through ECO notifications for parts created by SAI or via email for those from other sales divisions.
  • · Generate ECO documents in the production system to address modifications initiated by other sales divisions.
  • · Request drawings and BOMs from Schwing International entities to the SAI system as necessary.
  • · Remove duplicate materials in the production system to maintain inventory precision.
  • · Create parts in the production system as per requests from Inside Sales Representatives and investigate customer inquiries regarding parts.
  • · Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

  • · Engage in stationary work 90% of the time utilizing a computer and relevant office equipment.
  • · Navigate within the office and production areas 10% of the time to access files, comprehend production needs, and collaborate with colleagues.

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • · Post-secondary education in business administration is preferred.
  • · Familiarity with Engineering documentation and BOMs.
  • · Capacity to manage a high volume of work and juggle multiple projects.
  • · Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP, preferred.
  • · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
