Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineering Leader to contribute to our dynamic Manufacturing plant in Muscatine, IA.

The Bandag facility has a rich history of over 50 years, specializing in the production of retread equipment that supports Bandag retread dealers in delivering high-quality retread tires to fleet customers of all sizes.

As a Senior Electrical Engineering Leader, you will engage in the research, development, design, and testing of electrical components, systems, and networks. In this leadership role, you will be recognized as a subject matter expert, leveraging your advanced education and extensive work experience to tackle complex challenges. You will also maintain regular communication with leadership regarding project progress and technical issues.

Responsibilities

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading large-scale projects or processes with minimal oversight from management.

• Mentoring and guiding junior professionals through coaching and performance reviews.

• Assisting in the formulation and execution of operational plans for assigned areas.

• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and automation initiatives.

• Determining research methodologies for the planning, design, development, and testing of electrical equipment and systems for various applications.

• Cultivating strong relationships through effective communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Alternatively, 6 years of experience with a master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Project Management, PLC Programming, HMI Programming, and Control System Design using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%, with trips not exceeding 3 consecutive weeks.
