Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team at Woodlawn Cemetery. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cemetery grounds from April to October.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cemetery grounds, including lawn care, using a variety of tools, equipment, and chemicals under the direction of the grounds superintendent.
  • Perform tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns, as well as pruning trees and shrubs.
  • Operate a back hoe or tractor, as needed.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, following verbal directions and taking initiative to complete tasks.
  • Ensure the cemetery grounds are safe and well-maintained for visitors.
Requirements
  • Be at least 16 years old.
  • Be available to work Monday through Friday, 8 am – 4 pm, with occasional Saturdays.
  • Enjoy working outdoors in a variety of temperatures.
  • Be able to lift 20-30 pounds.
