About the Role

Actalent is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team in New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for growth and development, offering the chance to support a wide range of project types and work with a talented team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and design electrical systems, communicating design options to clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop high-quality construction documents and specifications.
  • Perform engineering calculations for building load analysis and emergency power systems.
  • Prepare building due diligence and assessment reports to describe existing systems and electrical design options.
  • Participate in construction administration activities, including on-site field observation, punch list reports, contractor coordination, and cost estimate review.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and development for junior staff.
  • Develop client relationships through successful coordination and demonstration of excellence on project work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience designing electrical equipment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience working on a variety of building types through all phases of a project from schematic design through construction administration.
  • Excellent communication skills to enable successful in-person dialogue and relationships with owners, architects, and other consultants.
  • Desire for project management roles where you can lead and manage MEP project teams successfully.
  • Effective knowledge of the National and NYC Electrical Code, New York Building Code, and NFPA Codes.
  • P.E. License preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation preferred.
