Job Summary

The Service Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations within the Service Department. This position is responsible for assisting with unit inventory procedures, pre-delivery inspections, and delivery orientations. Additionally, the Service Specialist will provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns related to service, warranty repairs, and parts sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports a customer-centric approach to service delivery, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Greets new unit delivery, service, warranty, and parts customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Responds to service, warranty, and parts inquiries over the phone and in person.
  • Assists the Receiving Department with unit unloading, inspection, and VIN verification.
  • Maintains accurate unit inventory status communication and assists with physical inventories.
  • Prepares unit delivery schedules and conducts final pre-delivery inspections.
  • Confirms correct rigging and accessory mounting instructions.
  • Prepares owner's delivery packets and delivery documents.
  • Explains unit and accessory operation, break-in, and maintenance procedures to customers.
  • Assists service customers with documentation of concerns on the repair order.
  • Supports the Service Manager with work order creation and customer communication.
  • Remains up-to-date on product warranty policies and procedures.
  • Assists with warranty repair authorization and related work order creation.
Requirements
  • High School education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to complete simple math calculations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with customers, management, and co-workers.
  • Proficiency in Dealership Management data entry system.
