Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver comprehensive health and wellness services on-site, focusing on promotion, prevention, assessment, intervention, treatment, and follow-up for medical, mental health, substance abuse, and oral health issues.
  2. Administer direct medical care to students, establishing a clinical physician-patient relationship that includes examinations, diagnostics, and emergency interventions as needed.
  3. Ensure completion and review of necessary laboratory tests, along with appropriate follow-up testing and medical care.
  4. Oversee the immunization program, ensuring compliance with DOL requirements for immunizations, including boosters and hepatitis B vaccinations for students in health occupations training.
  5. Engage in monthly medication management case conferences for students requiring daily medications.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program with a valid, unrestricted California physician extender or nurse practitioner license.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
