About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at Office Depot. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales in our retail stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Centric Experience:
    • Provide a positive and engaging customer experience by acknowledging and engaging with every customer.
    • Utilize our selling program to promote the sale of the best solution and additional products and/or services.
    • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment:
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company guidelines.
    • Adhere to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
    • Follow established sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
    • Ensure the freight sorting area is organized and set up according to guidelines.
    • Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Print and Tech Expertise:
    • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided.
    • Continued education in these areas is expected, up to and including designated certifications, if required.
  • Sales Techniques:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
    • Support the company's loss prevention efforts.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information and to access information necessary to complete the job.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish a selling relationship with clients and other associates.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation, utilize training tools, and process inventory.
  • Client-focused, positive, and engaging, action-oriented, and demonstrates a passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.
