We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services, working closely with our surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgical teams during operative procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-ups, and passing instruments to surgeons and nurses as needed.
- Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Act as an advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Scrub on all cases, including general, gynecological, robotics, oral surgery, dental, orthopedic, and other specialties.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical processes.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
- One year of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a specialty field.
- Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program and certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
