Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of nurses in providing high-quality patient care, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate nursing coverage and provide safe patient care
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to achieve positive clinical outcomes and minimize rehospitalizations
  • Mentor and educate nurses, working with physicians and other medical professionals, to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Oversee medication management and ensure compliance with Genesis policy
  • Provide direct patient care to maintain skills and stay current with industry developments
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • At least one year of nurse leadership experience
  • Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center state
  • Maintain current BLS/CPR certification
