Position Overview:
Join our nursing center management team as a Nursing Unit Supervisor, where you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality and cost-effective healthcare delivery in your assigned nursing unit. Your role will focus on achieving positive clinical outcomes, as well as patient, family, and employee satisfaction. You will ensure that care delivery aligns with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Genesis HealthCare, as well as accepted standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate nursing coverage for safe care delivery.
- Work with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to meet patient goals and reduce rehospitalizations.
- Mentor and educate nursing staff, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and serving as a resource for quality service delivery.
- Oversee medication management to ensure proper handling and adequate supplies in accordance with company policy.
- Provide direct patient care alongside unit nurses to maintain clinical skills.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Associate Degree in Nursing with three (3) years of nursing experience, or Nursing Diploma with three (3) years of nursing experience, or BSN with two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Minimum one year of nurse leadership experience required.
- Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the relevant state.
- Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
