At St. David's Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acute Care Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with medical providers and the care team to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree.
