UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to diagnose and treat vascular diseases.
Responsibilities- Perform color duplex imaging procedures, including carotid, extremity venous and arterial studies, abdominal Doppler, small parts, OB/GYN, general abdominal/body or other tests as assigned.
- Verify patient identification and ensure proper patient preparation, screening protocols, and answer questions.
- Communicate with patients clearly and in a professional manner, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the examination process.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, attending conferences, seminars, and workshops as needed.
- Two (2) years' experience in ultrasound preferred.
- Associates Degree in Ultrasound Technology or Graduate of Accredited Sonography Program.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) by first day of employment.
