About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Project Manager II to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our Central States Office, you will be responsible for managing Design Build and Design Bid-Build projects for DOT clients, including MoDOT, KDOT, ODOT, and Iowa DOT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Develop the scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents, and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the delivery of projects to successfully accomplish HNTB's 4for4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Technical Discipline: Perform technical discipline tasks, including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
  • Project Staffing: Responsible for overseeing project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff.
  • Business Development: Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mini-mega and mega projects.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years of successful management of engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
