Job Description
The Network Security Administrator at CoreSite safeguards our organization's networks and connected systems with a focus on operating, maintaining, and updating existing network security controls to protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber attacks. This role collaborates closely with the broader IT team, working cross-functionally to strengthen our company's security posture. The Administrator supports the Information Security team by maintaining existing controls and tools while promoting security best practices.

The incumbent must be able to work independently and on teams and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition to technical knowledge of managing networks and checkpoint firewalls, the ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of network security design and background with network technologies. Team-oriented, working well as part of a group and independently as needs dictate, is also essential.

Responsibilities include administering and maintaining network security tools, applying and managing firewall policy updates, collaborating with the Information Security team on joint initiatives, implementing updates to security tools, maintaining firewall and operating system equipment inventory databases, and assisting with responding to network security breaches.

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in either Information Technology or a related field is preferred, along with at least four years of Firewalls with Checkpoint experience and IT network or network security experience. Relevant network and security certifications are highly preferred.
