Position Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Infant Care Educator to become part of our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for working with infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and developmental progress through engaging activities and attentive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infant Care and Supervision:
    • Deliver attentive and nurturing care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment tailored to the needs of infants.
    • Adhere to feeding, diapering, and napping schedules based on each infant's individual routine.
  2. Developmental Activities:
    • Design and execute age-appropriate activities that foster cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
    • Engage in activities such as singing, reading, and playing with infants to encourage their growth.
    • Observe and document each infant's developmental milestones and progress.
  3. Health and Safety:
    • Comply with all health and safety protocols, including proper hygiene practices and emergency procedures.
    • Monitor infants for signs of illness or distress and communicate any concerns to the lead teacher or director.
    • Administer first aid and CPR as necessary.
  4. Communication:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
    • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and offer support to families as needed.
    • Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure consistent and continuous care.
  5. Classroom Management:
    • Organize and maintain the infant classroom, ensuring it is orderly, clean, and equipped with necessary supplies.
    • Adhere to the center's policies and procedures, including those related to discipline, confidentiality, and reporting.
    • Support and guide any assistant teachers or aides in the classroom.
  6. Professional Development:
    • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
    • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required.

Qualifications:
• Education: A minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience working with infants in a childcare or educational setting.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a nurturing demeanor.
• Other Requirements: Ability to lift and carry infants, sit on the floor, and engage in active play.

Working Conditions:
This position requires working indoors and occasionally outdoors. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
