Position Overview:As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining ozone equipment at the Wylie Water Plant and executing necessary mechanical repairs to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and repair ozone equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
2. Collaborate with operations staff to guarantee the functionality of ozone systems.
3. Execute routine preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in operational and maintenance manuals.
4. Conduct preventative maintenance on additional mechanical equipment as required.
5. Adhere to safe work practices by utilizing appropriate safety equipment and procedures.
6. Document work performed and generate follow-up reports.
7. Availability for overtime work as necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
2. Ability to understand and implement both written and verbal instructions.
3. Familiarity with operation and maintenance manuals, blueprints, and safety data sheets.
4. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Education and Experience:
1. Previous experience in maintaining mechanical equipment relevant to the water treatment sector.
2. A valid Texas Driver's License is required.
3. High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Physical and Environmental Considerations:
This role demands continuous physical activity, often of a strenuous nature.
Regularly lifts or moves up to 50 pounds and may handle up to 100 pounds weekly while servicing pumps and machinery using various hand tools and equipment.
Working conditions may involve exposure to various environmental factors, including weather, noise, chemical hazards, gases, and dust.
