Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with laboratory requestors to develop technical specifications, provide engineering training, and resolve technical issues that arise during contract execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of the Naval Nuclear Laboratory
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work with laboratory requestors to develop technical specifications and provide engineering training
- Resolve technical issues that arise during contract execution
- Recommend and implement process improvements using lean/6 Sigma principles
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science-related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 4 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Experience reviewing and developing technical specifications, functional requirements, and drawings
- Experience with machine and fabrication, construction, and/or service contracts
- Experience with document reviews, engineering evaluations/analysis, and providing subject matter expertise on regulated areas
- Experience with developing with Microsoft PowerApps
- Experience with quality and safety standards such as NQA-1, OSHA, ISO 9000
- Competitive salary range: $92,000 - $145,200 annually
