Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver services in accordance with state regulations governing speech therapy, following the established care plan and collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Assess the patient's functional abilities through diagnostic evaluations and assist in creating the therapy care plan.
  • Facilitate effective communication for patients by tailoring treatment to their specific needs and adhering to professional standards.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate the patient's progress and any changes in their condition to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members on speech therapy practices they can engage in.

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Speech Therapy license in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
