Job Summary

The YMCA of Columbia Willamette is seeking a skilled Lead Cook to join our team at YMCA Camp Collins. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing healthy meals and snacks for our campers and retreat guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals in a timely and efficient manner
  • Supervise food service staff and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Develop and implement healthy and diverse menus for our guests
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in food service or a related field
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days
  • Ability to read and write English
Working Environment

The majority of your time will be spent working in a kitchen environment. You will be required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude in a team setting.
