Progressive Care Unit Nurse Opportunities

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team at Reston Hospital Center, a leading provider of healthcare services.
About the Opportunity:
- This is a full-time position working nights or rotating shifts (3 nights in 30 days)
- The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a Progressive Care Unit setting
Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Registered Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, this RN coordinates and provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, serving as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
- Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor response
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in caring for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree
- Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Spt certifications required within 30 days of employment start date
