Position Overview
This part-time role is integral to the educational objectives of the Accounting Department at the Carlson School of Management.
Course Offerings
Potential subjects may encompass a range of topics at both graduate and undergraduate levels, including:
- Taxation
- Enterprise Risk Management
- Business Law
- Introduction to Financial Reporting
- Strategic Management Accounting
Classes are scheduled for both daytime and evening sessions.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the preparation of course materials (such as syllabi, handouts, assignments, quizzes, and exams), selection of textbooks, delivery of course content, assessment of student performance, record maintenance, oversight of teaching assistants, and availability during office hours.
Qualifications
Teaching Specialist:
A bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a relevant field.
Senior Teaching Specialist:
A bachelor's degree with 6-8 years of teaching experience in a closely related industry or academic discipline, including at least 4 years of formal teaching experience.
Lecturer:
A terminal degree or a master's degree with 5 years of pertinent industry or academic experience.
Senior Lecturer:
A terminal degree with 10 years of relevant industry or academic experience, or a master's degree with 15 years of related experience.
