Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Smithfield, North Carolina.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks targeted to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease. The successful candidate will employ radiologic sciences technology to generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound imaging and patient preparation for procedures
  • Conduct post-procedure care and emergency cardiac care (CPR is required)
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained on a daily basis
  • Generate and record data necessary for charge entry and prepares reports
  • Prepare procedure room and equipment for daily use
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire
  • No prior experience required
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $29.98 - $43.10 per hour (Hiring Range)
  • Full-time position with 40 hours per week
  • Day shift with 8 hours per day
  • Onsite work assignment
