Cardiovascular Sonographer

As a Cardiovascular Sonographer, you will employ radiologic sciences technology to deliver patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks targeted to patients with cardiovascular disease.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment, emergency cardiac care, and post-procedure transport.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained, performing and recording daily maintenance and quality assurance monitoring.
- Generate ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.
- May perform staff training and education.
- Monitor and record patient information, maintaining report storage and data systems.
- Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire.
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
This position is employed by UNC Health, a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
