Job Overview

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Regional Director to lead our retail operations in the region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency across multiple retail locations.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and development opportunities for retail management teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Conduct site visits to review store operations, establish expectations, and develop follow-up procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and guidelines.
  • Drive overall financial performance of the region by analyzing financial reports, identifying trends, and advising retail managers and leadership on cost control methods.
  • Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations, including environmental compliance, across multiple retail locations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce, including talent development, succession planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Foster a culture that promotes open communication, recognizes employee contributions, and resolves conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in retail, with 3-4 years' experience in retail management.
  • Advanced leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and grow internal partnerships and interact cross-functionally with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong training skills and the ability to be cross-trained in all positions.
  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must demonstrate strong customer service and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Possession and maintenance of personal vehicle is required.
  • Must be able to travel within territory over 75%.
