We are seeking a highly skilled Refinery Operations Manager to join our team at Clean Harbors. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance department and ensuring the smooth operation of our refinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of capital projects and budgets for the facility.
  • Provide engineering support to the plant maintenance department as needed.
  • Coordinate the planning of scheduled outages for major systems.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits for capital projects.
  • Coordinate project activities at the plant level with various departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of management experience in a plant or industrial environment.
  • 1+ years of capital project management experience.
  • 1+ years of team management experience.
  • Waste industry or refinery experience preferred.
  • Distillation and production experience is an asset.
  • Ability to understand equipment used at the site, including instrumentation, piping, valves, pumps, and more.
  • Engineering/maintenance background preferred.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including OSHA and Dept of Ecology.
  • Ability to influence and communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • General knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of CAD programs.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb, stoop, work at heights, bend, and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to be on call.
