- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans for residents
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations governing nursing practice
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and clinical expertise to enhance professional growth and development
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care conferences, and quality assurance activities to promote resident-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Utilize standard precaution knowledge and infection control measures where required
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures
- Proven leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting, with a track record of effectively leading and managing nursing teams
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on resident needs
- Thorough understanding of nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement principles
