Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting doctors by providing patient care and performing delegated medical tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Examining and treating patients under a physician's guidance
  • Maintaining accurate records and administering medication and injections
  • Recording vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Preparing exam rooms, cleaning before and after procedures, disinfecting equipment, and restocking supplies
  • Talking to patients, helping them to the exam room, and getting them ready for procedures
  • Collecting data, including medical history, and entering it into patient files
  • Monitoring vital signs and helping patients prepare for medical procedures, tests, and x-rays
What Will Make You Successful In The Role

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A good understanding of medical terminology
  • The ability to accurately document patient details in line with organizational guidelines
  • The capability to identify and report any signs of physical distress in patients to the healthcare staff
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to proficiently follow instructions from medical professionals

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Completion of high school or equivalent
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
