Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at the Cleveland Clinic, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography (CT) scanners. Your expertise will be essential in accurately interpreting physicians' scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, and operating the CT scan equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Acquire patients' chart data and review requisitions to determine correct room setup and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study, and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.

Educate patients regarding the procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.

Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and required documentation.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and in good standing.

Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within one year of hire: R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Experience working with adults and children.

Physical Requirements

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
