This role oversees the delivery and performance of materials crucial for our ultrasound therapy, encompassing analysis and monitoring of material performance, supplier collaboration for failure analysis, technology roadmaps, and process improvements. The position reports to the leader of the Materials engineering group.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Work with advanced material suppliers (PZT) to establish and maintain robust supplies aligned with medical device industry standards.">
  • Develops and evaluates specifications for critical materials.">
  • Serves as an SME for advanced material needs for related products and processes.">
  • Demonstrates expertise in Design/Process Excellence tools, assists others in applying tools, and leads root cause analysis efforts to investigate component failures.">
  • Leads complex functional projects to achieve project deliverables, renegotiates with management to overcome project challenges.">
  • Evaluates potential risks associated with components and develops strategies to mitigate these risks throughout the supply chain.">
  • Reviews product demand plans and makes recommendations for supply assurance.">
  • Conducts or supervises tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure quality.">
  • Analyzes product failure data and lab test results to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.">
  • Anticipates potential safety hazards, recommends solutions, and understands US and international safety and environmental requirements.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; an advanced degree is preferred.">
  • Minimum of 8+ years of related experience or its equivalent in education and experience.">
  • Experience resulting in broad knowledge in a field related to electro ceramics.">
  • Hands-on experience in conducting materials testing such as SEM, XRD, microhardness, XPS, and other related characterization methods.">
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.">

Compensation: $158,181 - $202,099 per year

">
