Technical Leadership Position

At National Guard Employment Network, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to lead our engineering teams. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of our programs by delivering on our engineering commitments and being accountable for the performance of your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the success of our programs by delivering on our engineering commitments and being accountable for the performance of your team.
- Identify and communicate project risks, assess issues, and support the development of resolutions that meet cost, schedule, productivity, and quality objectives.
- Constructively interact with other managers, business area stakeholders, and employees to establish and achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Personally create and deliver contract deliverables or other work products required by Engineering Leadership.
- Work Deputy Program Managers of Engineering (DPME) and Program Management teams to ensure programs have the correct staff size and skills mixture.

- Develop and lead a world-class engineering team. A key focus is to mentor and teach others to improve and grow in their professional competence. Will also include staff management, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, workload management, performance evaluation, and compensation management.
- Embrace the principles 'Leading Self and Leading Others' in the GDMS Leadership Competency Model.
- Support identification of new technologies, capability improvements, and roadmaps, along with enabling cross-program collaboration to leverage technologies, resources, or designs that may not have been previously considered.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant supervisory experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Target Salary Range
USD $156,444.00/Yr. - USD $173,555.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
