Job Overview

As part of the Product Enablement team within Oracle's Global Industry Units, you will actively contribute to the development and refinement of standard practices and methodologies.


Key Responsibilities

You will be tasked with defining and developing software for various applications, including:

  • Designing, developing, and debugging software applications or operating systems.
  • Engaging in complex, non-routine work that requires advanced technical and business skills.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to fellow team members.


We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Oracle Application Express (APEX) development to assist in the design, development, and deployment of internal applications built with APEX.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual capable of working remotely and comfortable with full-cycle design and standards-based development. Required skills include:

  • Experience with data modeling, PL/SQL, JavaScript, and general web development.
  • Familiarity with a DevOps pipeline utilizing tools such as Jira and Git is preferred.


Daily Activities

Your daily responsibilities will involve collaborating with technical and business teams to translate requirements into specifications, and subsequently transforming those specifications into functional APEX applications. You will be building applications using the latest APEX release and writing backend PL/SQL code, with a strong emphasis on security to ensure all code is free from vulnerabilities.


Additionally, you may need to understand how to interact with RESTful web services within the context of APEX, depending on project requirements.


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX).
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database, Data Modeling, PL/SQL, HTML, Web Development, JavaScript, JSON, and RESTful Web Services.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals across the organization.
  • Experience working remotely.
