Job Summary:

The Security Officer will assist the Senior Program Security Director in providing general security support for a multi-disciplined and complex organization. This includes providing program security support to the Government Customer's Security Office, completing assigned actions in support of a multi-disciplined and complex SAP and SCI environment, and working myriad security issues in physical, personnel, operational, technical, information, industrial, and information system security disciplines.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to defense contractors in all industrial security disciplines
  • Review and prepare Contract Data Classification Worksheets
  • Have extensive IC and SAP security experience across multiple security disciplines
  • Working knowledge and ability to implement Intelligence Community Directives as well as SAP Directives and Instructions
  • Ability to work complex and/or sensitive security issues thoroughly and with discretion
  • Ability to identify and assess sources for classification determinations and resolve security classification issues
  • Experience providing risk-managed security recommendations to program managers and supervisors in support of secure and successful mission accomplishment
  • Ability to handle complex security classification issues
  • Ability to prioritize competing requirements and tasks and managing long-term tasks as well as short-term obligations
  • Provide guidance to junior PSOs
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma and 15 or more years relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree and 8 or more years relevant experience, or Master's Degree and 5 or more years, or Associates and 12 or more years experience
  • Have extensive IC and SAP security experience across multiple security disciplines
  • Working knowledge and ability to implement Intelligence Community Directives as well as SAP Directives and Instructions
  • Ability to work complex and/or sensitive security issues thoroughly and with discretion
  • Ability to identify and assess sources for classification determinations and resolve security classification issues
Security Requirements:

Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier, scanner, or facsimile.
