Clemson Child Development Center is actively looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-Time and Full-Time Teacher Assistants/Floaters. This role involves providing support across various classrooms, ensuring a consistent and enriching experience for all children.

This position is ideal for those passionate about childcare or pursuing studies in early childhood education.

The Teacher Assistant Floater will collaborate with classroom educators to maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere that promotes children's social, emotional, physical, creative, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in different classrooms based on daily operational needs.

Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare environment.
  • High School Diploma or an Associate Degree in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided if necessary).
  • Completion of 15 hours of Health and Safety Training or equivalent.
  • Registration on SC Endeavors and SC Endeavors Career Ladder.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Successful completion of background checks and health screenings.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, sit on the floor with children, and respond promptly to children's needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development or Early Childhood Education.
