Ophthalmology Administrative Support Specialist

Patient Access Representatives II are the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional administrative support to our world-renowned healthcare team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for interviewing and registering patients, entering medical data, and preparing patient materials. With excellent communication skills and a warm demeanor, you will ensure a welcoming experience for every patient.
Responsibilities:
- Interview and register patients in person or over the phone.
- Enter accurate medical and demographic information into our system.
- Prepare standard patient materials, including forms and brochures.
- Maintain confidential health records and process physician orders.
- Identify and communicate interpreter services as needed.
- Provide patient education on third-party coverage and liabilities.
- Communicate payment options and connect patients with financial counselors when necessary.
- Collect, post, and balance patient payments.
- Perform additional support tasks and provide cross-coverage as required.
- Help mentor new hires and maintain expertise in PAS legal and compliance requirements.
- Exceed productivity and quality standards while handling various patient inquiries and logistics.
