Job Summary:
The primary objective of the Floor Care Specialist role is to execute scheduled floor maintenance activities as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Responsibilities may include mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, rearranging furniture, and performing general cleaning of furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in floor maintenance.
- Background in institutional cleaning is advantageous.
- Familiarity with floor-care machinery is beneficial.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Maintains all types of floor surfaces.
- Buffs, waxes, strips, and top-scrubs floors as required.
- Extracts and vacuums carpets under the direction of the Supervisor.
- Utilizes appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Reports maintenance needs to the Supervisor or maintenance team as necessary.
- Requests essential supplies and equipment from the Supervisor.
- Identifies and rectifies safety hazards while adhering to safety protocols.
- Understands and complies with Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention.
- Participates in weekly training sessions and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
- Ensures the safety of patients/residents.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
