Job Overview

POSITION: Leasing Team Member (Full-time or Part Time, Non-Exempt)

COMPENSATION: Salary range is $17 - $19 plus bonus potential.


SUMMARY

The Leasing Team Member will leverage your interpersonal skills, sales background, and energetic demeanor to achieve significant earnings and career growth. This role focuses on maintaining full occupancy by fostering resident retention, leasing available units, and preparing for future leasing opportunities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a representative of exceptional customer service by consistently exceeding expectations to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Implement the Cardinal Way of Leasing by:
    • Warmly welcoming prospective residents
    • Handling incoming leasing inquiries
    • Identifying client needs and preferences
    • Professionally showcasing the community and available apartments
    • Utilizing effective selling techniques
    • Closing lease agreements
    • Conducting follow-ups
  • Complete all leasing applications and maintain accurate lease documentation in line with company policies.
  • Stay informed on market trends and conditions by researching competitors and participating in training sessions.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the tour path to create a positive first impression of the community.
  • Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor with colleagues, residents, potential residents, and vendors.
  • Assist in planning and executing community events.
  • Support various community projects as directed by the Community Manager.
  • Engage in Cardinal U training as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service and sales.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High-energy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding service.
  • Friendly and approachable, both in person and over the phone.
  • Basic computer proficiency for correspondence and documentation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Availability for evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Core Values consistently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role involves working both indoors and outdoors across various areas of the property, including amenities, with exposure to different weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular tasks include using hands for typing and handling documents, standing, walking, reaching, and climbing. Must be able to lift and carry weights up to twenty (20) pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
