Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to service requests from the Service Resource Center, including a brief overview of equipment/system issues.
- Communicate with customer representatives to identify equipment/system challenges.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- This includes, but is not limited to, wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge systems, and fire pumps.
- Adhere to established troubleshooting protocols and consult technical manuals, parts manuals, change notices, and bulletins to diagnose and rectify equipment issues.
- Interpret diagrams, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by maintaining clear communication with district staff and clients to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements electronically with appropriate coding and secure customer signatures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in the Fire Protection industry, specializing in service and repair of Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
- Willingness to work in various positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, as well as working in confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
- Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and consistently follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, a positive demeanor, and a quick learning ability.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
