About the Role:

This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to obtain their CDL license within 6 months. As a Driver Helper, you will assist the driver of a garbage truck on specified routes, manually collecting solid waste and transporting it to appropriate disposal sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ride on the garbage truck to assist the driver in servicing customers, loading refuse bags, and bringing containers to the truck for proper disposal.
  • Direct the truck driver when backing up.
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance.
  • Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm.
  • Clean the packer blade and truck body.
  • Deliver positive customer service interactions.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to successfully obtain CDL permit (self-pay) and attend CDL driving school (company-paid).
