About the Role

Niagara Bottling is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities to ensure our facilities, equipment, and machinery operate reliably and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance of injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment.
  • Direct the activities of the maintenance department and collaborate with the Production Manager to schedule preventative maintenance activities.
  • Build and lead a world-class mechanical and preventative maintenance team to ensure production equipment is in excellent condition, lines are running at high efficiencies, and proper stock of parts is maintained.
  • Interface with other departments and external contractors to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Hire, train, coach, and review the performance of employees, working closely with HR on employee discipline issues, terminations, and recruitment.
  • Oversee safety team activities, monitor, and enforce safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintain accurate time and maintenance records.
  • Develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well in a collaborative group environment.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with the team and peers.
  • Intermediate knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
Competencies
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with the team and peers.
